What does it mean to be FAST?

Is it a comparison or change?

1.
Could I use the idea that its changed since it
started waaaaaay back on funny looking Roller
skates that spawned into Roller blading and
skateboarding - INTERESTING

2.
I could compose a comparison of skating and
rollerblading and how differnt the are?

3.
Make Detailed muti imaging of the action as it happens?
Like the muti-stitched shot of the snowboarder doing a jump.

Sound!

How to use sound in my peice is critical
I belive that the sound could only make this strong and
its resinece will improve the idea.
If i could study a fast moving sound along side a type of music
it would have fast drums.

Install Location

Opt:
Id like to install in the screen room.
I like the size of screen and the darkness of the area.
It can empahsise the rushing of tarmac.

Opt2:
I'd like to use the Hallway to window space of the upstairs studios
in the new department.

Opt3:
Id like to use the New lecture theater.

My new camera boom

hehe, i made a camera boom for skateboard filming, the idea is the camera is low to the ground emphasising the speed that the skatebaord is doing.
I would like to experiment with this ALOT MORE.
My sunny days are paid for.

Test 1 2...

This is the footage from a boom with an attached swivel wheel, the camera is held at the right hieght and is maintainable throughout distance because camera man is standing up right the whole time.

Placment

Last symester I leanred about camera placement of a fast moving image.
this made me realise 2 things:
Distance from camera to ground
Angle of focus

These together made for some extreme footage and made me think more about what i can see more than what others can.
I would like to use this for an experiment
I have an idea for a camera boom device.
Its consists of a small light wieght 360 swivel wheel and arm.
This means the lowest posible view on subject without the danger of damaging the recorder.
I will search for items that i will need at mitre10 mega.

The art of speed

I found an exhibit hosted by Nike
It was an challenge for digital artistd to express what it means to be fast.
I found 3 of the 15 works on the internet and think they have alot of good ideas.
I especailly liked Kabuki, Mainframe & Bionic Systems.
All his aspects worked well, the blurry mess of things going by the drum and bass music and the constant movment of all things.
I think the work mostly expressed the organicness of the shoes structure and that somehow it passed through space.
this is the youtube page of Kabuki's work

Speed sample footage

this should be footage of speed and the sort of views i want to grasp.
I will need a short amont to dable with so that i can understand the process and find the best kind for making a slick, fast and captivating animation.
I want to sample rotoscope and its ways of expressing stepd to a flow and its timing.
